Lithuanian Gothic cuisine was influenced by many natural, traditional, and cultural factors. Among them is the German heritage. The book Wie der gepökelte Stier nach Konstanz fuhr. Kulinarische Wechsselbeziehungen zwischen Litauen und Deutschland mit 31 Rezepten (in English: How the salted ox went to Constance: culinary links between Lithuania and Germany with 31 recipes explores the ties of culinary friendship between Lithuania and Germany. It presents old Lithuanian recipes under German names and German recipes under Lithuanian names. All the recipes in the book are prepared by the restaurant's chef, Tomas Rimydis.
